Emulsion Types

SBQ Pure Photopolymer Emulsion: Murakami innovated PVA/SBQ pure photo polymer emulsion technology over 30 years ago for the screen printing industry. We continue to improve and lead the way in emulsion research and development for the screen printing industry. SBQ emulsion exposes faster, produces sharper emulsion shoulders, and can withstand high storage temperatures as well as having a long shelf life. Murakami continues to improve upon our industry leading SBQ emulsions with products to meet any print application. <See all SBQ emulsions>
STORAGE: UP TO 100°F | SHELF LIFE: 2 YEARS

Dual Cure Emulsions are formulated with two types of sensitizers, SBQ and diazo or diazo and acrylates (acrylate monomers). Murakami dual cure emulsions are known for their wide latitude of exposure to image details easily. They also can be used with difficult ink systems that may be hot solvent inks, or co solvent inks where both solvent and water resistance are needed. <See all Dual Cure Emulsions>
STORAGE: UP TO 80°F | SHELF LIFE: 4-6 WEEKS ONCE MIXED

Tested and proven for years. Older, but yet still sophisticated technology still being used today. Murakami sets the standard for economical yet emulsions that can perform well under demanding print conditions. These economical emulsions provide excellent print performance value with exceptional resolution, durability and ease of use. The only emulsion that may be free thaw safe. It is important to store the diazo properly more so than the liquid emulsion. <See all Diazo Emulsions>

Extensive printing with *Water based and *Discharge Ink systems may require emulsion hardening for optimum stencil strength.
MS Hardener leaves a reclaimable screen while A & B Hardeners leave a semi permanent to permanent screen.
Diazo can be added to PVA-SBQ emulsions to increase water based and discharge ink resistance.
